5 star hiking trails and sweet little college burg.
A great walking park, with water fowl, 2 small lakes, river and trails to Warren Wilson College. You can take your dog for a stellar walk here. Its one of my favorite places to go when I just need a 5 minute away bit of freedom and nature. There are grills, picnic tables and pavillions. Great views of the sunset too.

a wonderful array of mountain foliage, Meandering Mountain Creek for much of the trail, variety of wildflowers and Native plants. dog friendly and people are usually friendly too :-)

Asheville's oldest brewery, located on the east side near my place. wonderful addition of a meadow with plenty of picnic tables, space for play, dog friendly, volleyball court, outdoor stage, hiking trails and disc golf course.
