The Burgas Sea Garden was started more than 100 years ago in 1910. Its firsts architect turned the swamp between the city and the sea into one of the most beautiful parks in Bulgaria. Today, this garden is home of hundreds of plants from all continents. Your walk in the park will meet you will hundreds of alleys with interesting sculptures and magnificent sea views. Some important landmarks in the Sea Garden are: • The Bridge – it’s a favorite place to the locals for a refreshing walk just meters above the sea waves • The Marine Casino – offers a lovely view to the whole Burgas Bay, featuring the Anastasia Island and the nearby towns. Due to its unique architecture and archeological findings, Nessebar was included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. Several things that you shouldn’t miss are the Mesemvria fortress, Archeologist Museum, Ancient Churches, and the old streets with the magnificent old houses. Of course, you can’t miss the emblematic old windmill just at the entrance of the old town.

Nessebar is an ancient town which was established millenniums ago. It’s just 34km north from Burgas, easily accessible by car or by bus. It has rich history being ruled by Thracians, Greeks, Romanians, and Byzantines. Due to its unique architecture and archeological findings, Nessebar was included in UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. Several things that you shouldn’t miss are the Mesemvria fortress, Archeologist Museum, Ancient Churches, and the old streets with the magnificent old houses. Of course, you can’t miss the emblematic old windmill just at the entrance of the old town.
If you take another 34km but this time south from Burgas you will end up in Sozopol. This is the oldest town on the Bulgarian Seaside. First signs of people are dated at 5000 BC. The first villagers were fishermen, farmers, and stockbreeders. Sozopol is the home of the annual music festival Apolonia, which happens every autumn. The tiny, paved streets have unique spirit and is an excellent idea for an evening walk around the old walls of the ancient town.

Even southern from Sozopol is the lovely beach Arkutino. It’s one of the less crowded beaches which lacks hotels and many restaurants but will offer clean water, fine sand and beautiful views. If you have a kayak or a SUP (you can rent one from us) – you can take a row to the St. Thomas Island which is a favorite place for birds, exotic plants, and occasionally some snakes. Another option is to row around to nearby Ropotamo river and enjoy the wild coastline south from it. The place is called Beglik Tash and is another must-see place.
Arkutino Beach
Even southern from Sozopol is the lovely beach Arkutino. It’s one of the less crowded beaches which lacks hotels and many restaurants but will offer clean water, fine sand and beautiful views. If you have a kayak or a SUP (you can rent one from us) – you can take a row to the St. Thomas Island which is a favorite place for birds, exotic plants, and occasionally some snakes. Another option is to row around to nearby Ropotamo river and enjoy the wild coastline south from it. The place is called Beglik Tash and is another must-see place.

The easiest way to look around it is to hop on one of the boats which are very easily accessible from the main road. If you are more adventurous – you can go for a walk and enjoy the nature. You your way, you will see other interesting places like the stone sanctuary Beglik Tash.

The Ropotamo River is a nature reserve and protected area that has unique flora and fauna. It’s 50km long with its source in the Strandzha Mountains and is emptying in the Black Sea. The easiest way to look around it is to hop on one of the boats which are very easily accessible from the main road. If you are more adventurous – you can go for a walk and enjoy the nature. You your way, you will see other interesting places like the stone sanctuary Beglik Tash.
Mladezhko is a village located deeply in the Strandzha Mountains. The area around it will offer you interesting caves that were inhabited from ancient time and the remains of an old times fortress. You can enjoy all this using a network of marked paths.

Enough eating? Indulge yourselves with a pint of local and international craft beer. This bar will offer you great assortment and if you need – an expert advice on what type of beer to try. Our favorites – Opasen Char (Опасен чар) and Dami Kanyat (Дами канят). Those two are produced especially for this bar by their special recipe.

Due to its geography, our town is also one of the best spots for wind and kite surfing in Bulgaria. The nearby big concrete factories built in the communist era are getting extremely hot during the day. Together with the cooler sea next to them, they form a steady wind currents in the afternoons which are just what you need for a great session in the water. The local clubs offer equipment and training lessons, just in case you need those. The nearest surf club is just 500m away from you and from our balcony – you can easily enjoy the dance of the kites.
