Camels Back Park is a local favorite. Here events take place like The Hyde Park Street Fair. There is a park for kids, excessive equipment, a large grassy area for activities, volleyball, tennis, basketball and so much more. The north side of this park also connects to the Ridge to Rivers Trail System; https://www.ridgetorivers.org/trails/interactive-map/
I have hiked many of these trails and enjoy them every time.

Any time of year, this place is excellent. Mountain coasters, downhill mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing and so much more. They have a restaurant up here all year long. Like I said any time of year.

Barber Park is the start for rafting the Boise River. Here you can rent rafts and tubes for your float. Parking costs a few dollars but you can also get a bus ride back from Ann Morrison Park. This excursion takes about 2.5 hours. On this trip you'll see 2 parks and a very lazy enjoyable float with 3 small man made rapids. Great for all ages and experience levels. To make this more exciting stop by Idaho River Sports and rent a Stand Up Paddle Board and really put your balance to the test!

Parking costs a few dollars but you can also get a bus ride back from Ann Morrison Park. This excursion takes about 2.5 hours. On this trip you'll see 2 parks and a very lazy enjoyable float with 3 small man made rapids. Great for all ages and experience levels. To make this more exciting stop by Idaho River Sports and rent a Stand Up Paddle Board and really put your balance to the test!
If you like bikes, one stop shop. Rent, buy, or fix, these guys do it all. Stop by rent a bike and explain your skill level they will get you on your way to exactly where you want to be.

3 hours away, I know it's forever, but worth it. This lake is so beautiful. So many backpacking and camping options in this area it is unreal. if you want the beauty of this lake but solitude. Drive east past Resfish to a turn on the south to Petit Lake. That lake is also crowded. On the dirt road you'll see a right hand turn with a small sign called Yellowbelly Lake. that's the lake you want to see. it's 15 min hike from the parking spot. Or the worst half mile drive you've ever driven. Choices....

3 hours away, I know it's forever, but worth it. This lake is so beautiful. So many backpacking and camping options in this area it is unreal. if you want the beauty of this lake but solitude. Italian anyone? This is a local favorite. Highly recommended. Not only do they have amazing food but the price is extremely reasonable. Check-em-out!

The hands down, best, truly local burger in town (my opinion) and featured on man vs food. This place will impress any burger lover or mammoth man who wants to destroy 4 Lbs of food in a single sitting, just to win a t shirt and get your picture on a wall.

Flying Pie (only the ones on State st and Fairview) is my favorite pizza (Idaho Pizza also amazing). State and Fariveiw are highly recommended because of the environment and food. In august they have habanero pizzas. If your into serious heat, give them a try in august.

Spitfire has a new spin on pizza. Sourdough, toppings, cheese, and on top is the sauce. I recommend the Detroit. Because it's so different I added to the guidebook.

Small place, great fish, great sushi, reasonable all you can eat options. it's best to go with a group, everyone gets all you can eat and cover the table in wonderful sea food... Makes me hungry
