Nice park located about 30 minutes from the Waterfront Retreat. About 6-8 miles of trails for hiking and about 20 miles of moderate mountain bike trails (some of the best in the state). Nice 5 mile loop hike starts from the boat launch.

The USNWC is a man-made river used by the US National Whitwater team for Olympic training. You can get a guided raft trip, mountain bike, rock climbing adventure in just about 30-45 minutes from the Waterfront Retreat. We love going here on Thursday and Saturday nights when there is life music. Several food trucks and more local craft beers than you could ever want. It's the place to be in Charlotte on a Thursday night from May-September
