'Bakarameistarinn' at Suðurver. This bakery opens 6:30 every morning except sundays at 7:00. Besides a good variety of fresh baked bread and cakes, they make superb coffee and there is plenty of space to sit down and read the morning papers.

High end and spacious. Very nice for a quick stop for an after drink (very good whiskey sour) and try de chocolate dessert plate!

Spacious and calm oase close by home. Here is also soccer field, frisbee golf and a playground. Good for a picnic or just a walk through on the way down town.

The pond in the middle of down town. I, like many icelandic kids have good memories from this place. Just feeding the ducks and swans some leftover bread. Just very cozy and basic.
