Fairfield has great beaches. Stickers are needed or there is a charge. Walking to the many entrances is best (bring a wagon for carting things). There are two concession stands.

City/town information
Great downtown, diverse places for food, shopping and summer concert scene. Westport library is very nice with a cafe in it.
There are a slew of restaurants all very noteworthy. Nomad is one of many new dining hot spots in town near shopping district. Gabrielle's behind the Playhouse. La Plage at Longshore is very scenic and sits on the water as does the Sunset Grill in Norwalk. These are all outside of Fairfield and with traffic can make it 20-30 min. drive. I suggest making reservations, this will definitely be helpful/and necessary depending on where you go and when.
Also there is a great Farmers Market on Thursdays behind Levitt Pavilion, a music venue with free evening summer concerts.

Beautiful beach with concession, bathrooms, grills and many other amenities. Last I checked it was free. This changes from time to time, so check before you go. It is nearby (10 minute drive) and very easy access and parking.

Bring beach equipment and pool floats.
I wrote some beach directions under Fairfield Marina (above) as sit is the closest access to beach. Please bring any beach equipment you may need such as beach towels, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, floats, kid toys etc. There maybe some at the house but likely not enough.
Consider walking to beach or getting dropped off for no cost entry. Charge is by vehicle. During the week is less expensive than the weekend. Last year during the week was $20. and weekend was $45. Rules change by year and season. Please check with gatehouse upon entering any details.

Please keep these rules strictly adhered:
All adults and children must not enter pool without proper guidance. Parents be careful and watch your children at all times.
No Glass allowed of any kind in the back yard. Plastic drinking options are included with this unit.
Water Levels of pool will need to be maintained while you are staying at this unit during the summer. Please add water using hose if the water level falls below the center of the skimmer-intake. Water level should always stay an inch or two above the center of the intake basket or an inch above first stair.
