The Jamaica Beach RV Park is across the street from our beach houses and they have a pool, a small lazy river, an arcade and a glow in the dark miniature golf course that is open to the public for a small fee. They also have a food truck that serves cold non-alcoholic drinks, shaved ice, and pizza! This is a great place to visit without having to go too far or pay too much.

The theater on Pier 21 offers several movies. The Great Storm is the better movie. It is a very compelling presentation of the 1900 Hurricane that killed over 6,000 people on Galveston island.

Without the protection of a Seawall, the 1900 storm destroyed the building. Although the structure was rebuilt in 1901, the storms of 1909, 1915, and 2008 were so violent, that reconstruction was required after each.
Today, Murdochs features an array of gifts, collectibles, souvenirs, and beach supplies. The back deck provides an exceptional view of the Gulf of Mexico. Stop by for
Beer, T-shirts, shells & other souvenirs in a local fixture with porch chairs overlooking the gulf.
