It’s about 25 mins from the cottage. It’s one of Nova Scotians favorite places to shop. They have freshly home made bread and goodies, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish market, gift shop, liquor store, restaurant cafeteria style with excellent healthy food and also a fish and chip boat! Some weekend nights during the summer they have live music. Really it’s a one stop shopping place. Very popular in our area! It’s on our way to the cottage from Halifax.

Masstown Market
Nova Scotia 2It’s about 25 mins from the cottage. It’s one of Nova Scotians favorite places to shop. They have freshly home made bread and goodies, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish market, gift shop, liquor store, restaurant cafeteria style with excellent healthy food and also a fish and chip boat! Some weekend nights during the summer they have live music. Really it’s a one stop shopping place. Very popular in our area! It’s on our way to the cottage from Halifax.
The food is so delicious! You eat in a dining car. The service is wonderful. It’s just a neat experience especially for a special occasion. Afterwards take a nice walk on the Trans Canada Walking Trail which butts up against it or have a nice stroll through the town of Tatamagoughe. It’s only a 15mim drive from the cottage.

If you enjoy wine, this is a place you want to check out. Take a tour of the grounds, Have a little food with our wine and before you leave don’t forget to do a test sample of each of their flavors. Have fun!

Anne Murray Center is a must see especially if you love country music. It’s about a 45minute drive from the cottage. It’s worth the drive.

It’s about a 40 min drive from the cottage. It has the warmest water’s this side of the Carolina’s. Bring you beach towel, food and blanket because once you get there it’s hard to leave. Walk right in it feels like bath water.

One of our guest travel by Ferry which is an one hour away or less. They spent the day touring the island and came back by driving over the confederate bridge. ( Maybe an 1:15 drive) They had a fantastic time. So in one day they were in 3 of the Atlantic provinces. Pretty amazing.

Father and son crafted the most beautiful 9 golf course along the Wallace River. Every hole tells it’s own unique story. I bet you will have a hard time finding it’s signature hole. The average yardage is 300 plus. So plan to play for about 2 1/2 - 3hrs. It’s so much fun!
