Sightseeing
- The Poetto is the main beach of Cagliari and Quartu, it is 8km long and full of cafés, restaurants and bars and clubs. There is also space for running, cycling and other sports activities.
- The bars offers sunbeds and umbrellas if you order food and drinks from them.
- It will take you less than 5 minutes to get there by car, or you can choose a beautiful 15 +/- minutes walk through the salt pools and watch the beautiful Flamingos.

Poetto
2 Piazza degli Arcipelaghi- The Poetto is the main beach of Cagliari and Quartu, it is 8km long and full of cafés, restaurants and bars and clubs. There is also space for running, cycling and other sports activities.

9a Via la PalmaThe national park and salt pools are strictly preserved bird sanctuary and home for the beautiful Pink Flamingos and other birds.

One of the nicest and clear water beaches in the area, like it was taken out from a painting. Only 23 minutes' drive away, recommended to go early in the morning as it is a small and popular beach.
* You will have to take with you everything you need as there are no kiosks around.

- Located in Villasimius a famous tourist resort in the south-east of the island, a long stretch of soft, very light sand, with pink hues deriving from granite fragments, enclosed between a lagoon and the blue sea voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy by Trip Advisor users.
- There are kiosks and restaurants available in and near the beach.
*About an hour away by car, but definitely worth the drive!

- Located in Villasimius a famous tourist resort in the south-east of the island, a long stretch of soft, very light sand, with pink hues deriving from granite fragments, enclosed between a lagoon and the blue sea voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy by Trip Advisor users.
- There are kiosks and restaurants available in and near the beach.
*About an hour away by car, but definitely worth the drive!
- Our favorite beach in the area, blue and turquoise of the sea, bright white of the beach, dotted with pink on the shoreline, and green of the Mediterranean maqui's, surrounded by Mediterranean shrubs and cactus with multi-colored flowers, which give the landscape an unusual appearance and perfume the air.
- About an hour away with a car. Highly recommended, in the summer season the restaurant is open, however it is recommended to bring snacks and water with you. There are sun beds and umbrellas available for rent during the high season.
* We recommend arriving early, or if you arrive later stay for the sunset! You will not regret it!

Quartu Sant'Elena is the 3rd biggest city in Sardinia, therefore you can find everything in a short reach.
The Main street is ‘Viale C. Colombo’ it hosts the nest bars around Quartu and also the road that will take you through the salt pools to the Poetto beach (walking distance)

Supermarkets
There are some big supermarkets a short drive away, like Super Pan and Carrefour, where you will find the cheapest prices for the products you are looking for.
There is also a small minimarket very close to the house, only 2 minutes walk on ‘San Benedetto’ street.

what to do with the garbage?
here in Quartu there are specific days for the different type of garbage, here is the schedule:
- on Mondays and Thursdays (wet and organic)
- Friday (paper and cardboard) also Friday (cans and glass)
-Thursday (plastic packaging)
- Monday (not recyclable dry)
all you have to do is in the night before put the bags without the container on the sidewalk near the gate and they will be picked up early in the morning.
