A beautiful place to visit many amazing animals including polar bears, snow leopards and many more. I would advise going there for a morning or afternoon as you need a good few hours to look around (it is not far from the Highland Folk Museum - you could do both in one day). There is a drive around area which closes at 4.30pm. The other part of the park closes at 5pm. Advance booking currently necessary: https://www.highlandwildlifepark.org.uk/.
If you want to go into the shop or cafe you need to wear a face mask.

Loch Garten and the nearby Loch Mallachie is a perfect place for a walk or cycle ride with easy trails suitable for most as well as longer trails for those who require more of a challenge. A photographer's paradise and good for spotting wildlife if you are lucky. Only a few miles away - follow the road out of Boat of Garten towards Nethy Bridge and turn right where signposted. There is a small car park next to the forest where you can do the Two Loch Trail. It is also a nice place for children to have a paddle on a warm summer's day. There is also the RSPB centre nearby which has focused on the ospreys (although there has been no osprey activity on the nest this year and the centre has not opened following the lockdown). Highland Folk Museum
You can easily spend a morning or afternoon at the Highland museum as it is a large area to walk around (you could combine a day out with Wildlife Park as not far from there). If you have accessibility issues talk to the staff as it is possible to drive up to the township area rather than walk. No need to book and it is free (donations welcome) but there is a parking charge of £2 per car.
