We recommend booking if you plan to sit in and we also recommend checking opening days and times for takeaway places to avoid disappointment, as many places are short staffed.

Good food with something on the menu for everyone. It's right beside the ferry terminal and very close to our house. Booking in advance is essential in high season.

Tigh mo Sheanair bar is popular with locals and offers pizzas for sitting in or to take away from Tuesday to Saturday. In the main hotel you can get breakfast. lunch, dinner as well as coffee and cakes all day.

Tigh mo Sheanair bar is popular with locals and offers pizzas for sitting in or to take away from Tuesday to Saturday. In the main hotel you can get breakfast. lunch, dinner as well as coffee and cakes all day.
Flavour offers a fine dining experience with an 8 course taster menu where the chef prepares the food in front of you. We haven't been here yet but we know people who have and the online reviews are good.
Based in Urgha, just outside Tarbert, within walking distance of our house.

The quality of the food offered at the catering vans is very good but best to book in high season and go early to the honesty box sheds if you want a good choice.
Lovely coffee and takeaway food. Turn left when you leave Tigh Gorm. it's a 2 minute walk.

Good takeaway food including fresh seafood and burgers. Scallops and black pudding with homemade slaw on a roll is a popular choice but there is something for everyone. The van is now located at the marina opposite the house.

We love this little wooden hut with its delicious homemade food, made with fresh seasonal local produce, much of it grown on the croft itself, and its honesty box.
Our favourites include the quiches, cullen skink tarts, pasties and frangipane and strawberry tarts, but everything is so fresh and tastes great. The strawberries are grown on the croft and the strawberry tarts are available when the strawberries are in season.
Usually open Monday to Saturday from 11am until sold out. Go early to avoid disappointment or order the day before for collection.
