This is a great park all year round with over 20 miles of hiking trails including mountain bike and horseback riding trails. The park is great for kids of all ages. Drop your kayak in the water or rent one of the the parks kayak/boat options. We spend a lot of time at this park always discovering new places to explore.

Being surrounded by these incredible parks is a treat. Even more hiking trails, fishing and paddling available at this park just a few more miles from the house.

This experience is unlike anything you will have at a traditional beach. You will share the beach with the gentle ponies of Assateague. Although sightings are not guaranteed I have experienced these ponies every single time I have visited this beach. This is a quite beach with no boardwalk and very little available for refreshments. There is a bathhouse with ample facilities, but, plan to pack your lunch. (Leave early in the morning to avoid traffic.)

Although sightings are not guaranteed I have experienced these ponies every single time I have visited this beach. This is a quite beach with no boardwalk and very little available for refreshments. There is a bathhouse with ample facilities, but, plan to pack your lunch. (Leave early in the morning to avoid traffic.)

This is the most popular beach and when not timed well traffic and parking can be a nightmare. If find that is I leave the house by 6am parking is easy to find and I plan to stay until at least 8pm. I also try to plan my visits on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday as these are the quietest days with the least amount of traffic.

Ocean City
If you are looking for a beach with everything from restaurants to parasailing and amusements this is the beach for you. Plan to arrive early and stay late to avoid traffic. This great local pub has been a favorite spot of ours when visiting. The friendly staff and the classic pub setting makes this place memorable.
