If it's pizza you are after ... this is one of a handful of Sydney restaurants that has accreditation from the AVPN in Naples, which gives the place a nod for selling authentic Neapolitan pizza. And yes the margheritas are amazing. The garden salad is also made sensational thanks to its killer dressing. Negronis are wonderful. Owner Lee Carroll is very passionate about his pizza; just ask him. Family run business that is always busy.

Did someone say panini? The food here is really great. It's a family-run restaurant and hugely popular with hip young locals who sit on the pavement enjoying healthy breakfast bowls or grabbing a panini to go. It's an institution.

This is one of my very favourite restaurants in Cronulla. It's Arabic cuisine that is very high-end. This is such a romantic little spot. You will need to book. It's popular for a reason. You must have the falafel.

I love this place. They often have great acoustic gigs here and it's dark and dingy and the bartender shakes up a really decent cocktail. Expect dude food and a mixed demographic - all are welcome.

The owners of the Brass Monkey Cronulla - one of the best live music venues in Sydney - also have El Sol. On Sundays, they have free gigs where some of the country's best session musicians play. On Tuesday nights, they also have all-you-can-eat tacos. This place is right downstairs from the local backpacker hostel so it's where to go to meet other travellers.
