Just over the county border in Warwickshire is the market town of Rugby. Art lovers can visit the Rugby Art Gallery, and fans of the sport, which started at the town’s historic Rugby School, can visit the adjunct World Rugby Hall of Fame – a new state-of-the-art museum exhibiting the game’s history and greatest moments. Rugby Theatre hosts ten productions a year, including classical drama, modern plays and mainstream musicals. Shows there are fun and intimate, with local volunteers the stars of the shows. There are lots of cosy pubs in the town centre; a few of them have live music and open-mic nights, too, if you fancy a livelier evening. If you’re feeling peckish, then Rugby isn’t short of high street restaurants and independent eateries serving new and exciting breakfasts, brunch, lunch and dinners as well as traditional favourites.
