Carnoustie dubbed itself the Brighton of the North and went on to be one of the most popular seaside resorts till WWII. The Carnoustie Bay that offers great views over the Tay estuary to Fife still retains its spectacular beauty and remains a must-see destination.

Or listen to your voice in the sacristy, which has one of the longest echoes in the country. The abbey was founded in 1178 by King William the Lion, who was buried here.
