Foothills Park is a jewel of a place to picnic and walk along the Willamette. You might even catch a glimpse of my name on a plaque!
Historically this land was associated with the beginning of the City since it had an early iron ore smelter on it. Long since gone and several iterations of industrial use later, now it is a park.

Saved from development is now a nice way to escape to the Forest. See my photo for a suggested 2.5 mile walk. Can be very muddy in winter. Dogs allowed on leash.
