Tamarack is a year round vacation resort located about 90 miles North of Boise by the town of Donnelly. It is a smaller community that doesn't have the name recognition (yet) like Salt Lake City or Sun Valley, which means you don't have the lines to the slopes they have either in the winter. In the area you can also go snowmobiling, visit hot springs in the area or any other winter activities that you could do elsewhere.
During the summer you can go on Lake Cascade with both motorized and non-motorized vehicles. There is a zip line on the mountain and disc golf. People also love to go white water rafting.
What really sets the community apart from other are the people. Everyone is so nice and no one feels like a stranger.
