German Village is a short walk north of the property. There's a beautiful park with gorgeous Victorian homes surrounding it. There are several small intimate dining experiences, coffee shops, and local shops to enjoy as well as some bars. Sometimes the park offers events and can be found online by searching Schiller Park.
