Just below Victoria Rd and Woodland Ave is the beginnings of the access to the park that goes behind the old school (now a training centre for the police). There are tennis courts, and the path runs beside the courts. It takes you down to a running stream, lots of grassy areas, great to walk around for a very short 30 min walk from the airbnb.

Great place to hike around. In the summer, you can rent kayaks at the Locks Rd entrance.

Just a short drive over the bridge or take the ferry from Dartmouth to the down town area of Halifax. A lovely waterfront walk, great shops and restaurants for your enjoyment.

There are lots of places to visit and see just outside of Dartmouth/Halifax. Check out www.novascotia.com for all kinds of ideas for day trips and where you might also explore.
We have beaches, hiking, lots of city sites. There is also whale watching if you are fine with a longer trip and plan to stay near Brier Island.
