A relaxing place where locals still wave and cycle around the quiet streets, or enjoy the various boating options, on the water. Walking distance to the local basketball & tennis courts, play fields & playground of Point Wells. Close to Omaha golf course and Omaha white sandy beach (5.7 km away). Rural cycling tracks take you to Omaha or Matakana. Enjoy the Matakana Artisan Markets on Saturday (5.9 km away or approx 8 minutes, driving), the Matakana Movie Theatres, local wineries and breweries, or the award winning Rothko restaurant with Scultureum (3.6 km away, or 6 minuntes, driving), Brick Bay restaurant & sculpture park (14 km away, or approx 18 minutes, driving), snorkel at the Leigh fish reserve Goat Island - 22 km away, approx 46 minutes, driving), walk the coastal tracks. Pick strawberries, in December and January. Buy produce at roadside farmers’ stalls. There is something for everyone.

Only 55 minutes from central Auckland city.
A quick car ride from Auckland (approx 75 kms to central Auckland). Approximately 55 minutes, in non rush hour traffic. However, Saturday mornings can be a busy time to travel to Point Wells, due to the popular Matakana markets. During summer months, leaving Point Wells on Sunday afternoons can also be busy, at the intersection from Matakana to Warkworth.
