If you want to hike near the house just drive 3 miles up the hill to the Clinton Bond Trail and follow the signs.
We love the hike and the beautiful mountain road.
There are a few Dover town forest trails that start at the parking lot of the Clinton Bond Trail.

Lake Raponda offers a small beach and picnic area owned by the town of Wilmington is reserved for town residents and local taxpayers. There is also a public boat launch at the north end of the lake providing access for fishermen but holding no accommodation for swimming of large boats. Most boating activity is limited to sailing, wakeboarding, rowing, canoeing and kayaking.
The lake Raponda trail skirts the eastern shoreline for hiking and mountain biking.

Lake Raponda
Lake Raponda offers a small beach and picnic area owned by the town of Wilmington is reserved for town residents and local taxpayers. There is also a public boat launch at the north end of the lake providing access for fishermen but holding no accommodation for swimming of large boats. Most boating activity is limited to sailing, wakeboarding, rowing, canoeing and kayaking.

The swimming area at Harriman reservoir is very beautiful and a little rustic. It has ample parking, picnic area, swimming area and a residential boat launch area. Bring your own motor boat, kayak, or canoe and have fun.

About 1.5 Hours \ 2 miles hike steady incline one way in the woods. Very nice view at the top. The trail is nice but get crowded very quickly.
