Sightseeing

Elbow Falls, the largest accessible waterfall in Kananaskis country, is a favorite destination for visitors and locals alike. Experience the thundering falls and dramatic landscape from multiple viewing platforms. Accessible by wheelchair and strollers; the short 0.8 km pathway is paved and protected by rails. A great place to talk a walk, photographs, look for birds, enjoy a picnic (tables available) and be inspired! The falls are most popular in summer, but stunningly beautiful in winter also. Just be sure to check trail conditions as it can get slick with ice and snow. Should you be planning winter walks and hikes, consider an investment in cramp ons (anti skid/grip devices that stretch over the bottom of your boots $15-$75).

Walk as little or as much as you want. The trails are short. Fishing is excellent! Public parking and pit toilets are provided. Please take good care of our wild places. Leave no trace behind.

Horseback riding in the Foothills of the Rockies is a DREAM!!! Our cowboy culture dates back to the 1800's. Bragg Creek started as a ranch community. The area remains recognized as one of the prettiest areas for riding in the world. Your next adventure takes place >>> EDIT in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Riding westward from the ranch toward the Continental Divide, landscape changes from one of rolling ridges and open forests to one of high alpine meadows, thick primal forests, and shear limestone cliffs. The highest peaks in the region are around 11,000′ with permanent snowfields and glaciers on their shoulders. This variety of ecosystems makes each day’s ride different and beautiful in its own unique way.

Sports equipment rental

Family and Adventurer Bike rentals: electric, mountain.. helmets and gear, whatever you need delivered to the trailhead.
Because it's local, convenient and awesome. Bikes can be challenging for visitors without bike racks to transport, so it's great to have the option to have equipment delivered directly to the trailhead.

Paddling

Crystal clear waters you will not soon forget! A beautiful place to walk, picnic, paddle, float, and take in Alberta's wilds. Watch the birds which change with the seasons. Paved trails surrounding the pond, make it accessible via wheelchair and stroller. The pavement makes it easier for carting coolers and toys (kayaks etc.) It can get very busy on hot summer days. Some do brave the freezing waters. When swimming happens, it doesn't last long. ;) Here and everywhere, please leave only footprints. Help us keep Canada forever beautiful!

My family's favorite

We love the heart, because the home made food is so delicious, and the place so special and welcoming. Everyone that works there is a foodie, and you taste it in every bite. Hard too believe it's vegan. Try the Avocado toast, pizza toast or any of the delicious cookies. See you there!
