while you're at Acadia National Park this is also a great site you can Google but I believe the tide needs to be low and coming in to make the loudest noise

Great to go for the day. Explore the many tunnels that go underground Beautiful fort, rich in history. Great little town of Bucksport across the river. While your there ask about the gravestone and the witches foot, kind of crazy but fun to see.

Great hiking!! for experts and beginners,
Beautiful views even if you don't care to hike. This is an area where you are more likely to see Moose and other wildlife. It is also the end of the Appalachian Trail. This is a 2 hour trip from cabin but I believe worth it.
