Neighbourhoods
Snettisham is located on the north west coast of Norfolk with its own beach and nature reserve. Some 5 miles south of the seaside resort of Hunstanton, 9 miles north of the town of Kings Lynn and 45 miles northwest of the city of Norwich.
Snettisham RSPB reserve is approximately 1.5 miles from york cottage located at Snettisham beach. It consists of bird lagoons and bird observation hides (to access travel down station road towards the bypass left on the bypass and immediate right signposted Snettisham beach).
The river Ingol runs to the south of the village upon which stands the now unused mill renovated as a house in recent years (short walk turn right when leaving york cottage towards the bypass and footpath signs will be on your left after a short distance, follow the drive and you will see the old mill on your left continue walking and you can walk across fields and if you bear right after walking across the first field following the path you will come across the old railway line that is a pleasant walk to Ingoldisthorpe and Dersingham (turn left).
Snettisham railway station is now a private house but the Old Station Granary is open to the public on your left just before the bypass when travelling down station road.
St Mary's church is one of the most famous churches in Norfolk located in a prominent position at the head of the village looking down towards the village green.

Bus service
Regular bus service between Kings Lynn and Hunstanton - please check local timetables as seasonal changes dependent upon demand. Bus stop turn left out of york cottage (opposite direction to the bypass), when you reach the beginning of station road turn right, walk past 'the factory shop' and bus stop is directly in front of you (stay on this side of the road for Hunstanton and cross over to the other side of the road were there is bus shelter for Kings Lynn.
Nearest train station is Kings Lynn (direct route to London).
