I LOVE NY - Cool stuff in NYC from a real NYer
Sightseeing
Designed by one of the greatest NY Architects - Diller and Scofidio, The HighLine is such a great example of repurposing unused city space into a usable and amazingly designed public park- slicing right through the best parts of the city- from 34th Street all the way to the Meatpacking- I suggest starting at 34th and walk all the way to the New Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking and check that out- then walk down 11th Ave where there are some great restaurants for dinner.

Now it is SAFE SAFE SAFE - but it still has an interesting edge. It may be the only neighborhood in NYC that still feels like the edgy multi faceted NYC that I grew u in. I love it.
