Amazing vegan diner. It's very New Age-y but the food is seriously worthwhile for even the most hardened of cynics. We take everyone here, including Chet's omnivorous Texan parents, and they love it.

Tasty, simple, healthy vegan food. They have something for everyone here. I love the green juice, and the house red wine is surprisingly good! They are great for accommodating tricky dietary needs.

There are a few organic stands that have great cheap produce. We go right before they close when the merchants basically give you food because they don't want to take it home with them. Sun and Wed.

I go to Out of the Closet at least once a week. I know most of the people that work there, it's pretty ridiculous. Everything from vintage clothes to housewares.

This has one of the best collections of well-curated, cheap vintage clothing and accessories for women and men that I've come across. Total gem, and the women who work there are super sweet.

This library rules. It's huge, has tons of foreign films, internet access, and an ancient maps collection upstairs. They also have art shows and random exhibits.

After 4 hrs of volunteer work- tending to fruit trees, implementing irrigation systems, weeding, or completing infinite other tasks- everyone harvests and takes home organic produce. A lovely place.
