Goode Company is a family of restaurants (including seafood, bbq, hamburgers) that is just all good. If you're up in this area, just follow the locals for some great food.

This is some pretty great Thai food. Three peppers was too many peppers though, the spice is hot.

Bowling, Games, all kinds of fun. If you were planning on the beach but the weather didn't cooperate, this is a great place to salvage a day. Fully air-conditioned fun.

I like this better than the natural science museums in D.C. and London. It is definitely in the running for best Natural Science Museum in the world.

Sightseeing
I'm not one to recommend going to a mall, but this one is sort of neat. One of the few underground structures in Houston, it's also one of the few places to ice skate in the state.
