Parks
Right next to the condo! This place is great year round. We love watching the sunset on the lake while the kids play on the beach. During the winter they have some excellent cross-country ski trails and snow shoe trails. During the summer there are trails galore to hike and bike. If you travel along the western edge of the park there are multiple beach locations that are smaller and a little less busy than the main beach near the entrance.

Ponderosa State Park

Located near North Beach, there is a smaller beach that you can rent canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Here you can head up the lazy river where it is common to see wildlife, (last time we saw a momma moose and calf). Don't forget to bring water!

Backwoods Adventures Canoe & Kayak Rental

Hiking
A great hiking area with multiple trail options. There are a few sections with deep-ish creek crossing and some of the trail does get rugged and steep. Once towards the top the views are amazing!

Love this place! last time we were here the owner took our kiddos on a little tour of the place and explained what some of the items were. They have some really cool locally made decor for sale by multiple vendors. Great place to snag a souvenir
