Short drive/3 mile walk from the house. Lovely promenade for a walk/play by the Firth. Nice bars/cafes located along the beach front.

Another place which does bagels and coffee centrally located in Nicolson Square. Quaint place, JK Rowling did not write her little publications here, however you can usually find a quiet corner. There is also lots of information of things going on in Edinburgh in the pamphlet stand in the window.

Bombay Street Food. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and does not break the bank. They only book tables for over 5 people, but I have never had a problem getting a table quickly.
