The facility is open to the public and rents a variety of water recreation equipment (stand up paddleboards, kayaks, paddleboats, hydrobikes, etc) by the hour. Rental of some equipment, like sailboats or certain paddleboards or kayaks, requires a class to learn how to use the equipment safely and take care of it. You can also rent bikes and ride on paved trails around the lake.

This is a nice little zoo that is an affordable alternative to other large zoos in Northern Cal. It is small, but has a decent number of animals and exhibits mainly directed toward young children. There is a cute park right outside the entrance as well.

Excellent paved biking, hiking and walking trail that goes around Folsom State Prison. There are plenty of places to get on the trail, we parked in a residential area and walked to the trail. The trail goes next to the Prison and along part of Lake Folsom.

Directions
Directions to the Beals Point Campground:
80 east Reno
From Hwy 80 you will take the Douglas Blvd. exit out of the city of Roseville. Go east on Douglas for about 6 miles make a right on Auburn-Folsom Rd. go about 2½ miles until you come to a stop light the sign will say Beals Point and you make a left.
Hwy 50 S. Lake Tahoe
Take the Folsom Blvd. exit go North on Folsom for about 7 miles (the road will change names to Folsom- Auburn) you will come to a stop light, the sign will say Beals Point and you make a right.
