Incredible historic place, just 10 minutes walk from mine. Unbelievably, you have the second best sushi restaurant in all of London here (Rockstar Sushi Bar) as well as Thai, Caribbean, Italian, German, British Pub food and a load of others. Also a lot of lovely little cafes, bars and a couple of pubs. Highly recommend in the Summer, when there’s a market and a brass band on the bandstand.

Super friendly local coffee shop, just at the end of my road. Great for bagels, and excellent for brownies. Since lockdown, it’s been take-away only.

Another brilliant coffee place. Stay and get chatting to the lovely young couple who run it (Sandra and Eugine) and treat yourself to a coffee and a wrap. Both delicious.

Amazing family run takeaway Indian. Of course, if you want to walk for another 5 minutes you get into Tooting, which is famous for curry, but this place has been open for over a decade, won a load of awards, and always throws in a free popadom. Lovely local hidden gem.
