Swimming
This is the closest beach to Golondrinas 81. We take great early morning walks there as do a lot of other people. Also great at sun set. Not recommended for swimming.
Take a right coming out of the house, walk all the way to the big avenue, cross it and walk left for a short block to the parking lot on your right, continue walking after the parking lot and you'll see the ocean. To the left the waves are milder. Still be very careful if you want to swim.

Playa el Palmar

If you want to eat well and expensive this is the place. Great set up with a perfect view of the Marina. Take a walk around. Also there is a beach access before the Marina parking lot.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Right in the heart of "Centro Ixtapa" walk and walk. It is safe. Too many good places to choose from. The pizza is good, the ice-cream too. Also the super market. There is a movie theater, lots of clothing stores, shoes, artisan fare, you name it.

We take a lot of walks around at all times - within reason. If you walk early to Avenida de los Viveros (opposite direction of the beach) you will see a lot of people jogging, walking, biking. You can rent a bike in Ixtapa Centro.
