Benezette

This little town is best known for its Elk viewing. Start off at the visitor's center. People travel from all over to see the Elk herd in Pa's natural environment. Just do not get too close!! They can be aggressive if taunted.

Cherry Springs State Park

It's rumored to have the clearest/darkest skies in the world! It sits on a plateau at 2300ft, with large cherry trees helping to reduce light pollution. This is a haven for astronomers and stargazers. This is about 40 minutes “the way the crow flies” from the cabin. On a clear night if you place chairs in the driveway and lean back you will get a pretty spectacular view!

It's rumored to have the clearest/darkest skies in the world! It sits on a plateau at 2300ft, with large cherry trees helping to reduce light pollution. This is a haven for astronomers and stargazers. This is about 40 minutes “the way the crow flies” from the cabin. On a clear night if you place chairs in the driveway and lean back you will get a pretty spectacular view!

Kinzua Bridge State Park

This is a must see! In 2003 an F1 tornado destroyed a section of this railroad bridge. (one of the tallest in the country) The remains of the disaster are still left in place for you to view. Since then, a state park has been established along with a visitor's center for the history buff. As of 10/21 a playground area has been installed for small children. Definitely worth the drive!
