Convenient park nearby for jogging, strolling or picknicks. There is also a charming Open Air Cinema in the summers as well as a charming drinking spot in the centre of the park. Don't be put of by the weed dealers :)

Incredible open space, a must visit whilst in Berlin and only a short cycle from the flat! This used to be an active airport built by the Nazis...now the space is being used for different events and as a refugee center and the airport field and landing strips have been turned into one of the world's biggest open public park spaces. I also highly recommend the airport building tour - fascinating!

This used to be an active airport built by the Nazis...now the space is being used for different events and as a refugee center and the airport field and landing strips have been turned into one of the world's biggest open public park spaces. I also highly recommend the airport building tour - fascinating!
Berlin has thousands of beautiful sandy beach lakes all within an hours reach. This one here is more centrally located and a beautiful summer afternoon getaway. There is also a lovely hike here along 5 different lakes if you're into that. Ask me for details.

Pack a nice brunch and a few bottles of beer and you'll have a beautiful day out on water jumping into the lake from your boat.

Pack a nice brunch and a few bottles of beer and you'll have a beautiful day out on water jumping into the lake from your boat.

Small but well equipped supermarket just at the end of the road from the flat. Products are medium range prized - if you're looking for a cheaper option you can go to either Penny, Netto or Lidl a bit further down the road.
