Old school fishing pier with upstairs indoor/outdoor seating on the bayside. Great lunch spot and cheap beer. Nice place to come in the AM with a coffee and watch people fish. Often see dolphins, skate and manatees while eating. Bring your rod and cast a line from the first floor!

A Locals hang out for all day happy hour, live music nightly and great clams! Have a nice raw bar.

Bradenton has some nice restaurants also including the Anna Maria Oyster Bar on the pier, the Blue Marlin (nicer quaint spot for fresh seafood), the Bridge Tender (more casual, music, outdoor bar). The old fishing village of Cortez just over the bridge has some great outdoor casual dining and fresh seafood, fishing charters, AP Bells fish market, etc.
