One of the city of Pacifica’s most unique attractions is Shelldance Orchid Gardens, a world-renowned bromeliad nursery. The gardens were originally established in 1949 by Herb Hager, who used his skill and vision to turn an artichoke field into what was then state-of-the-art greenhouses. Other than a change in name, the greenhouses have essentially remained the same until today. You will be able to see world-renowned hybrid orchids, many of which are named after local area landmarks such as Pacifica, Pedro Point, and Pacific Ocean. Go explore the ethereal place and walk through the arrangement of plants - you’ll also come across an array of local artwork throughout the gardens.

For some reason, your quick-serve mexican food tastes way better when you're eating it on a breezy beach-front while on break from outside play. And for the adults in the house, it goes down even better with a cold beer or margarita, since this Taco Bell is a cantina!
It's been digitally transformed, as well. You can order ahead on their app, or order from screens when you get there, so it's practically a walk up.
If you hit it on a slow day, and you can sit outside and dine while watching the surfers, it's quite an experience when you think about where you are.
