This is the closest liquor store--on the NE corner of Ave. A and E. 4th St. It's small but has a good selection of wine and plenty of liquor choices.

I actually think this place is horrible but am still glad it's there (12-min walk). For those who don't know, Kmart = a crappy version of Walmart. So you can find (cheap) clothes, food, hardware, etc.

This supermarket is a quick 3-minute walk from the apartment. It's not huge but has solid selection and is pretty cheap. Also open 24 hours. Definitely nice to have close by.

This is the closest Whole Foods, a 10-15 min walk. It's got plenty of space by NYC standards & (like all Whole Foods) has higher quality ingredients. This is where I do most of my grocery shopping.

This Whole Foods is a bit farther away, but you can grab the M14A bus right outside (headed in Lower East Side/Abington Sq direction), and it will let you off at 6th St/Ave A, 2 min from my apartment.

Eco-friendly cleaners downstairs in the same building as the apt. They do both dry cleaning and wash & fold. I go there bc it's so convenient & the staff are great--a bit more expensive but worth it.

Another close, cheaper laundry option w/ better hours & a coin-op option, in addition to wash & fold + dry cleaning. Not as convenient as Pure Organic or quite the same level of service but solid.
