Mt. Sanitas is a hike that can be done as a loop with a great summit overlooking Boulder. It is approximately 3.2 miles round trip with 1,200 ft. of elevation gain.

The Cottonwood trail is a favorite walk from the house. You can access it via bike path by crossing the stream behind the mailboxes and trash hutch or drive 3 mins to the parking area. The gravel trail is lined by a stream fed by Boulder Creek, and a lovely 3.5-4 mile stroll (depending if you go straight from the house). On the way back you get great views of the iconic Flatirons.

5102 Independence RdThe Cottonwood trail is a favorite walk from the house. You can access it via bike path by crossing the stream behind the mailboxes and trash hutch or drive 3 mins to the parking area. The gravel trail is lined by a stream fed by Boulder Creek, and a lovely 3.5-4 mile stroll (depending if you go straight from the house). On the way back you get great views of the iconic Flatirons.
If you enjoy disc golf, this is just a short walk away and a great activity. There is a set of discs in the entry way by the kitchen, feel free to use and put back :)
