Go and see the famous HMS Victory or HMS Warrior. This is also the home of The Mary Rose - the flagship of Henry VIII's fleet that was sunk off the coast. The ship and an amazing array of artefacts all recovered from the seabed are available to see.

It stood empty for a while but is open again now and houses the famous Gaiety Bar and an amazing fish and chip restaurant. Check it out and try your luck at the slot machines or grab an ice-cream and have a wonder round and look at the view across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

This a great spot when the sun is out as the 'Walls' protect you from the wind and it can get really warm. It is also a fab place to watch the ships and boats come and go as this is right at the tip of the harbour mouth. You may be lucky and even see the Navy ships or the huge Virgin Cruise liner.
Nearby are the little artisan shops in the arches of the Walls. Have a browse and find some interesting unique artefacts and gifts.

The car ferry is only 5 minutes away if you fancy taking the car and exploring. Go and see Osborne House or Carisbrooke Castle or just enjoy the feeling of stepping back in time!
