You will find this Milwaukee institution down in Bayview, south of downtown. In this old, midwestern bar you will find some amazing and authentic Serbian cuisine and hospitality. Stuffed grape leaves, goat cheese, roasted lamb, duck, etc.
Bring friends and be prepared to spend most of the evening, as the food is cooked to order, and it takes a while. But it's well worth it.
Warning, CASH ONLY and would probably be rough on your vegan friends.

Glorioso's is everything you'd want in a specialty market. Italian meats, deli, cheeses, baked goods, dry goods, wine, spirits... and deli sandwiches and salads they make to order. The Italian desserts are amazing.
If you like the "Old World" style of market shopping, going to Glorioso's is a delicious step back in time, but they've kept it up so it doesn't feel like an anachronism. Truly outstanding!

The trail meanders more than 115 miles in and around the city of Milwaukee on a changing terrain of flat rural plains and hilly city streets. Nearly a quarter of the trail hugs the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

Here you'll find trails and a bridge, with oxidized steel handrails and sleek angled lamp posts. The park links condo country to the Brady Street neighborhood. Caesar’s Park is enjoyed by mountain bikers, dog walkers, fishermen, and runners. Warning -- you might come across the occasional drifter, and I wouldn't recommend going there after dark.

Lafayette Hill has good sledding in the winter after a snowfall, and public tennis courts on the north side of the street (but I am not sure if you have to sign up for them or what, as I don't play tennis).

A nice place to take kids.
