In my opinion one of the nicest areas with the famous Albert Cuyp Market around the corner. You can buy local food (try the stroopwafels) but also clothes and interior stuff. Around the corner of our apartment you will find Gerard Douplein with lots of restaurants, bars, pubs and shops.

This is local area where you will find lots of local caterers. It’s a beautiful area to walk around (lots of small streets between the canals). On Saturday and Monday you will find flea-markets at the Noordermarkt, Jordaan. Behind the Noordermarkt you will find the Haarlemmerbuurt with also lots of shops and restaurants.

At the PC Hooftstraat you will find shops like Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Gucci. At the end of the PC Hooftstraat you walk directly into the famous Vondelpark.
