Sightseeing
This place is quite the gem. We’re so lucky it’s so close to our home. It offers sandy beaches, beautiful views from the bluffs, refreshing swims, snack bars, ice fishing in the winter, and if you’re up for it, some pretty decent hiking. It is a Wisconsin state park, so you’ll need a park pass. Word of wisdom, it can get very, very busy in the summer. So if you plan to go to the beach, get there early. Otherwise I’d recommend early morning or evening hikes to skip the crowds.

Baraboo offers a wonderful (and FREE) zoo, open to the public. You’ll be able to see otters, monkeys, bears, wolves, lynx, llamas, and more! There’s also a great playground for kids to enjoy.

Baraboo is know as Circus City and for good reason. The Ringling Brothers had their debut here in 1884. The circus show continues on and is open for you to enjoy. Even spend some time with the elephants if they’re not performing. If you’d rather see from afar, you can often see them from across the river.

Perfect lake to put a kayak on. There's a great beach area with quick access to launch your watercraft such as a paddleboard or kayak. Along your water route you'll come across the famous Ishnala supper club.

This is the perfect sporting event atmosphere. Best place to go in town to watch the game. The food is amazing as well! I’d recommend the Southwestern Chicken sandwich and a Long Island. Better hit of Bar Buddies if you have more than one though

Did someone say breakfast tacos?? This is my favorite place for breakfast in the area. Every time I go, that is what I get. They also offer alcoholic beverages such as Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's if you need a little hair of the dog.

Great spot in the neighborhood to take the kiddos to burn off a little energy. It's a short walk, about 10 minutes, and it'll give you an opportunity to explore our subdivision. There's a charming pond next to the park where you can watch the ducks swim around as well.
