Regional and biologic food. Bistro style, you can see the cook sweating to do his best. Good service and excellent food. No Michelinstars but you will remember the food. At 12 min its walkable

One of the isles build for the construction of Central Station. Now there is a hang loose cafe there and it looks like a three hut. Also you should see the houseboats near.

Its very Italian, but also a bit South-African. Normally I say don't do fusion with Italian food. But the dishes stay Italian with a special touch.

Food is really good and staff is amazingly considerate, although it is very busy. It is my favourite place if I want good food and to forget that I am in Amsterdam. It is located next to the ZOO.

Everything Else
History is important, knowing history isnt the same like feeling it. I felt the horrors of WW II without seeing it, everytime I am there.

The public library. First thing you ask is, where are the books. But they made it a good metropolitan hangout for students and a drink on roof terrace gives decent oversight
