Roaring Brook Falls starts from a parking area located along Route 73. This is the parking lot not just for the hike to the waterfall, but is also a popular spot to ascend Giant Mountain, one of the High Peaks.

Gorgeous swimming hole and waterfall a short hike down from the road. Park just off the side of Route 86 and take 5-10 minutes to hike down to several wading pools, waterfalls, and areas to explore.
More of an “off the beaten path” pond, with a round trip distance of 0.5 mile “hike” from trailhead to pond access. While the carry to the water might feel tight/odd with your board, it is short enough to be worth the view of Whiteface Mountain from the water!

Taylor Pond is 4 miles long and covers 813 acres, providing plenty of scenic water for paddling. Spend a few hours, a day, or a few days exploring the pond's scenic waters deep in the Adirondack wilderness. The boat launch is located just past the campground entrance booth and provides the only public access to Taylor Pond. Motorboats, rowboats, canoes, and kayaks allowed. Rowboat and canoe rentals available when the campground is open.

Owen, Copperas, And Winch Ponds: These three ponds are located in the Sentinel Range Wilderness Area. This scenic trio of ponds offers all kinds of outdoor recreation along an easy trail for all skill levels. In summer it has camping, swimming, and paddling.

Sunscreen, moisture wicking layers, comfortable socks and shoes, and bug spray are all safe bets. The lodge has pantry basics such as seasonings, oil, and coffee, but we encourage you to bring your preferred snacks, teas, etc.
