Food, shops and hidden gems
Walk from Bell green where there is a Sainsburys, Next, Pets for Homes, Aldi, B&Q, Halfords, McDonalds and Costa down Rivrview walk where you can paddle int the stream and sit and watch the ducks and the dogs can go for a swim - follow the river walk towards Catford where you will come out at a Wickes and Flooring shop if you walk through the carpark there is Catford and Catford Bridge Train station and a lovely continental cafe and Sainsbury's express and lovely little coffee cart called Beats and Grind. If you follow the walk - river you will come to Ladywell fields another beautiful walk.
Riverview Walk and River Pool Linear Park

I you want to go clothes shopping or any type of shopping you have Lewisham and Bromley. Lewisham has a massive culture mix and lots of market stalls everyday and Bromley has a much wider range - buses to Bromley go from Catford which is a 10 minute walk or 171/185/75 then a 208 and to Lewisham from the local bus stop 185.

You can catch the train to Shoreham from Catford station which is a 10 minute simple walk from my house. It is a 5 minute walk from Shoreham station and is a beautiful little village to visit in Kent

My favourite swim and paddle boarding , vegan/meat breakfast is absolutely gorgeous. They also do a great coffee, pizza and snacks
A beautiful park with lovely food, outdoor swimming you can book online at PTP coaching - paddle boarding, paddle board yoga, or just a dip in the lake. Also lovely for a walk

Buses to everywhere within 5 minutes walk,
Local buses will take you local places I have suggested - 185 will take you to Victoria coach and bus station
171 takes you very near to Trafalgar Square get off at Charing Cross road
75 Takes you up to Sydenham and Crystal Palace which is a great park
202 takes you to Blackheath where you can walk over the heath to Greenwichpark or browse around the local shops and visit the amazing Fresh food market on a Sunday from 10 - 14:00

Buying tickets for travel
In most 1 - 6 zones in London you can pay by any contactless card. Zones outside of this you will have to purchase a ticket prior to travelling outside of those zones such as if I wanted to go to the beach from zone 3 then I would purchase the ticket at zone 3.
