Park for free at Disney Springs, then grab a free Disney bus over to the Polynesian Resort. Here you can get Dole Whip, grab a bite to eat, and visit the gift shops.
The BEST PART is sitting on the sandy beach to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from across the lake! The same music from the fireworks show is played on the beach and you can see Cinderella's castle in the distance. There is also a nightly water parade that comes by on the lake.
From here, you can also hop on the Monorail and take a ride around the lake and past the Magic Kingdom. Hop off at other resorts to explore or grab a drink.
*Sometimes they will let you park for free, right here at the resort, but it's not guaranteed, so I always recommend parking at Disney Springs.

If you are lucky enough to get a reservation here for dinner, do it! This is a beautiful restaurant on the top of Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion! Kids are welcome, but due to the price, we like it better for a fancy date night.
No park tickets are needed to eat here.

Even if your reservation is for earlier in the day, you are allowed to come back at firework time to view them.

Downtown Winter Park is a beautiful, upscale area with shops and restaurants. There are little boutiques and higher end shops like Potter Barn, Lilly Pulitzer and Lululemon. A cute spot for brunch. We love the Briarpatch!
