With over 250 wineries, a few distilleries, and about a dozen breweries, we have chosen some of our favorites to recommend.
Sans Liege Winery was a great find in Tin City. They feature Rhone varietals. We were especially impressed with their white wines. It is rare to find Chardonnays in this area and it is not a Rhone varietal, but Sans Liege has an excellent Chardonnay. We also loved their blends. If you decide to travel as far south as Pismo, they have a tasting room there too. (805) 773-2770

I challenged Mark to find a wine here we wouldn't like. He handed me the spit bucket! Justin gives probably the best winery tour in the area, but you must call for reservations. They give tours daily at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The wines are amazing and they are responsible for putting Paso wines on the map with Iscoceles, which won best in the world in the 80s. They also have a wonderful restaurant with amazing food (not an exaggeration).

This is another must when visiting Tin City. The staff is extraordinary as is the winemaker. Both times we've been here we were able to visit the barrel room where we met the winemaker and enjoyed her collection of Terra Cotta holding tanks (also a Concrete Egg). JJ had a virgin Pina Colada (he doesn't drink) and loved it too. We also had the Pork & Shrimp Egg Rolls which were fantastic. I little pricey, but worth it!

JJ is an Uber and Left driver and lives at the Guesthouse. Make arrangements with him to take you downtown for dinner and he will give you a ride back for free. Make arrangements with him for UberWine or UberWineXL and he will bring you back to URGH free from your last stop.

This park is about 5 miles west of URGH. There is a large pond at the top of the park, a huge playground, large baseball fields, large soccer fields, and plenty of areas to picnic. This is indeed a beautiful park.

Those guests who have had the opportunity to visit Studios on the Park rave about it. We have visited it frequently because featured artists and their work change frequently. We aren't quite sure yet of the Sensario concept. We've been told to think of it as an adult theme park. The investors are former Disney employees, so theme park is a good way to look at it. There will eventually be fountains, restaurants, and more. For now there is an exhibit called Field of Lights which runs through January 2020, a couple of food trucks, and a beer and wine bar. We enjoyed our visit but were a bit disappointed by the price. Most guests love it, but a few felt it wasn't worth the entrance fee.

We love dropping in on this place when we are in the park area. The building is divided up into small rooms displaying mostly local art. As much as I love the artists' work, my favorite is to see the artwork of local elementary age students.
