Everyone has their own preference of wineries, but here are a few we've grown to love the most.
Not all wineries are kid-friendly these days, but this one is! They're also pet friendly and offer an AWESOME cellar wine-tour for guests. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance because this place is poppin'!

If you're a red-wine lover, look no further! This winery is BEAUTIFUL...you won't be able to get enough of the hill country views this massive vineyard presents.

We know Fredericksburg is Wine Country, but Altstadt features German-style beers that are brewed on premises with a large restaurant and pub. The entire property is stunning and we urge you to check out the free tractor museum featuring a sizable collection of fully-functioning tractors of all shapes and sizes!
(And yes, there is a bar in the Tractor Museum as well.)
Altstadt also has a great brunch menu, so be sure to keep that in mind.

The entire property is stunning and we urge you to check out the free tractor museum featuring a sizable collection of fully-functioning tractors of all shapes and sizes!
(And yes, there is a bar in the Tractor Museum as well.)

Trade Days
Hosted on the third weekend of every month, Trade Days is a massive outdoor antique shopping experience located East of Fredericksburg off Highway 290 across from Wildseed Farms.
There's beer, food, music, wine, and shopping GALORE! (Bring a wagon if you can.)
Parking is $5 but is good for the whole weekend.

Cook breakfast at the house
Restaurants serving breakfast in Fredericksburg get really packed and wait times are LENGTHY (1-2 hours). We recommend stopping by HEB or Walmart on your way into town and getting some food to cook in the mornings so you don't have to wait all day for a meal.
If you're okay with the wait, then check out Emma + Ollie (it's right by the house).

If you're trying to save a little on entertainment, Das Guettler Haus has plenty to offer in the realm of things to do. Most businesses in Fredericksburg close up fairly early (especially on weekdays) so bring the festivities home!
We've got a hot tub, board games in the drawer on the island, smart TVs, a backyard fire pit, and the perfect at-home bar. You won't want to leave the house!
