Need to get to / from the O'hare airport? For ~$5 hop on the Blue line a ~10 minute walk from the apartment. Highly recommend if leaving to go home on a Sunday afternoon (avoid sitting in traffic for hour +)

Heading north to Old Town or Lincoln Park? The Brown line, ~10 minute walk, will get you there with little hassle. Nice views of the city as you venture north. Sedgwick is main Old Town stop. Diversey the main Lincoln Park destination

Bike lanes throughout the city make it easy to navigate (plug into google if you have a destination in mind). $9.95 for a 24 hour rental (additional fees for trips over 30 minutes). After the initial setup it's easy and can pickup / drop off a bike wherever you see those lovely blue bikes! Helmets in my hallway closet for your use!
