Entertainment & Activities
Like the other Smithsonian museums, the zoo is free! This is an awesome zoo, with several indoor exhibits so you can see some animals even on colder days. Be sure to check out the orangutans and gorillas!

This snazzy theater offers huge overstuffed reclining armchairs, some of which are side by side with an armrest that you can pull up to create a love-seat size couch for you and your honey. It costs a little bit more than a regular movie theater ticket, but we think it is worth it. Be sure to buy your ticket ahead of time online so you can pick your seat!

If you have younger kiddos who need a playground to run off some steam, this park is just around the corner from our house. It also has a paved path around the perimeter for munchkin running/biking, and/or pulling your little tykes in one of the wagons that may be hanging around the playground for anyone to use.
